On 1st October 2014, a Tripartite Agreement between DECC, the MCS Administrator (Gemserv) and the MCS Service Company (MCSSCo) was signed. The signing of this important agreement should not be under estimated as it signifies the commitment of all the stakeholders in the microgeneration industry to move the Scheme forward with the establishment of MCS as a legal entity.

MCS would like to bring an important product note to your attention. Please read the information below carefully.

MCS has released a update to the MCS biomass calculator (version 1.3).

The Energy Savings Trust with funding from the Scottish government will be holding a series of supply chain roadshows.

The aim of the shows is to help Scottish businesses, in particular SMEs involved with the supply chain of energy efficiency and renewables retrofit work across Scotland.

The dates of the roadshow are as follow:

3rd November, (pm), Glasgow IET teachers building

4th November, (am), Dundee Science center  

18th November, (am), Dunfermline, Carnegie Conference Center

The Green Network Scotland will be opening 56 of their properties to the public on 3rd and 4th October 2014. This will be a unique opportunity for people to see typical family homes, purpose built eco friendly homes and to see how businesses are saving money through their new eco friendly offices.

PayPal has notified MCS of their intention to carry out maintanence on their systems. This will have an impact on submitting payments for credits so please read the information below for further details.

The MCS Administrators (Gemserv Ltd) will be moving premises. To help us facilitate the move, we will be closing the MCS Helpdesk at 4pm Friday 29th August and opening again at 10am Monday 1st September. As such, we will not be able to respond to any enquiries during this period.

The government has today launched a new domestic Renewable Heat Incentive payment calculator. This calculator will help customers to calculate what they may be paid through the scheme, based on the type of renewable heating system to be installed.
