About MCS

MCS is a mark of quality and demonstrates
compliance to industry standards that companies
strive to meet. It highlights to consumers that
companies are able to consistently install or
manufacture to the highest quality every time.

The MCS Administrator has today removed seven Solar Assisted Heat Pumps (SAHP), certified by SZU and manufactured by Energy Panel S.L. The manufacturer and certification body are currently working together to rectify this. They aim to reinstate the products on the MCS Installation Database  as soon as possible. Please check our product listings for an update on the SAHPs.

FAQs:

Answer:

If you have already installed one of the removed products mentioned above, unfortunately you will not be able to register the installation on the MCS database or create an MCS Certificate as the product was wrongly certified.

Answer:

MCS is not able to comment on whether you should continue with your installation. However, if you do continue with the installation, you will not be able to register your installation with MCS, nor create an MCS Certificate, for this installation.

Answer:

  • Distributor/Installer  – MCS is not able to comment on whether distributors may continue to purchase and sell the SAHP products in question. However, MCS can confirm that, following the decision to remove the products from the MCS Installation Database, an MCS Installer will not be able to register nor create an MCS Certificate for these products (until such time that the products are reinstated on the MCS Installation Database).
  • Consumer – If you wish to install your Energy Panel product, you will not be eligible for an MCS certificate at this current time. The manufacturer and certification body are currently working together to rectify this issue as soon as possible to reinstate the products on the MCS Installation Database.
