About MCS

MCS is a mark of quality and demonstrates
compliance to industry standards that companies
strive to meet. It highlights to consumers that
companies are able to consistently install or
manufacture to the highest quality every time.

A new version of MCS 001 (Installer Certification Scheme Requirements - Issue 3.0) has been published.

The standard has been updated to align the competence terminology with MCS 025. Additional updates to the standard include amendments to the scope, updated definitions and company detail requirements. Appendix A has also been updated to provide further clarification regarding the requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS) which are assessed as part of the certification process.

A guidance document (MGD 001) has also been created to be used alongside the MCS 001 standard. Accompanying this, MCS have provided QMS templates that can be used in conjunction with the relevant standard to help construct a Quality Management System.

MCS Contractors who are certificated to MCS 001 must commence working in accordance with this update by 16th March 2017.
