About MCS

MCS is a mark of quality and demonstrates
compliance to industry standards that companies
strive to meet. It highlights to consumers that
companies are able to consistently install or
manufacture to the highest quality every time.

The Management Panel of the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is responsible for the day to day delivery of the scheme and implements the decisions of the MCS Steering Group which is responsible for the policy and direction of the scheme.

In accordance with the MCS Terms of Reference an election process was held to select representatives from the MCS Steering Group to the MCS Management Panel.

The panel was first convened on 9 October 2017 and consists of the following members:

BEIS Representative
John Holden
Chris Roberts
David Matthews
Griff Thomas
Graham Hazell

MCS Steering Group Chair John Holden says that “The formation of a largely new Management Panel is an exciting step for the scheme, with more members than ever before we are sure that the scheme will be ideally placed to deliver tangible benefits to the sector as well as continuing the valuable behind the scenes work required to keep the scheme going.”

Holden goes on to say, “to have been able to attract such a broad range of skills to represent the industry on the Management Panel is a really positive outcome”

The Management Panel will focus on ensuring the robustness of the scheme supporting consumers, installers and the wider industry.
