How to Apply

To apply for MCS Certification please follow the links on the left hand side depending on whether you are an installation company or a product manufacturer. This will enable you to find the relevant standards for your technology and find the details of Certification Bodies that can carry out your MCS certification. Installer standards can be found on the Installer page and Manufacturer standards on the Product Manufacturer page.

The Certification Bodies all have their own timescales and pricing schedules, and so you should contact several to find the one that you feel works best for your business.

Lastly, to become an MCS Installation Company, you need to be a member of an Office of Fair Trading (OFT) approved consumer code. At present the REAL Assurance Scheme (link to REAL page) is the only approved code. In light of the uncertainty around the consumer landscape, MCS is currently looking into the options around this.
