| All installation companies must read MCS 001 and MCS 002 and then read the documents stated below. All documents are available on the right. |
| MIS 3001 for solar thermal systems |
| MIS 3002 for solar PV systems |
| MIS 3003 for small and micro wind turbine systems |
| MIS 3004 for biomass systems |
| MIS 3005 for heat pump systems |
| MIS 3006 for micro-hydro systems |
| MIS 3007 for heat-led micro CHP systems |
| MIS 3007 - 2 for electricity-led micro CHP systems |

All installation companies must then contact a Certification Body to become MCS Certificated. Certification Bodies can be found by clicking here.
