MCS 001 New Version Released

Implementation Date – Thursday 1^st December 2011

Installers certified prior to implementation date:

• Are to operate to MCS 001 issue 2.0 from the implementation date.
• Will be subject to assessment under MCS 001 issue 2.0 at the next scheduled surveillance visit.

New applicants that have had their assessments prior to the implementation date:

1. Are to operate to MCS 001 issue 2.0 from the implementation date.
2. Will be subject to assessment under MCS 001 issue 2.0 at the next surveillance visit.

Applicants that will have their assessment on or after the agreed implementation date:

1. Are to operate to MCS 001 issue 2.0 from the implementation date.
2. Will be assessed to MCS 001 issue 2.0 from the implementation date.

A mapping document has been prepared for installation companies which highlights the similarities / changes between the old and new versions of MCS 001. This is a helpful solution to help you show compliance to the new version and something you should complete and keep hold of. It will allow you to demonstrate that you, as installation companies, have included the changes into your QMS. It is provided in MS Word format so that you may tailor it for your own needs. Please note that the document is optional and you may wish to develop your own document.
