Product Manufacturers can get MCS Certification if their products fall within the scope of the MCS scheme. To get MCS Certification for your products you will need to read the relevant standard for your product:

All manufacturers must read MCS 010 and MCS 011 and then read the documents stated below. All documents are available on the right.
MCS 004 for solar thermal systems
MCS 005 for solar PV systems
MCS 006 for small and micro wind turbine systems
MCS 007 for heat pump systems
  MCS 008 for biomass systems
MCS 014 for heat-led micro CHP systems
MCS 015 for electricity-led micro CHP systems
  MCS 016 for micro-hydro systems
  MCS 017 for BBIPV systems
MCS 018 for as-new hydro product systems
All manufacturers must then contact a Certification Body to become MCS Certificated. Certification Bodies can be found by clicking here.

After you have read these documents you need to contact a Certification Body. Certification Bodies assess the product and visit your factory.

All the Certification Bodies have different prices for the certification and timescales can also differ for the product assessment. We recommend that you contact a few to decide which is best for your business.

You are required to choose only one Certification Body to get your products MCS
