MCS Scheme Update – New Version of the Competency Guidance Document

The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) has today published an updated Issue (1.1) of the MCS Competency Guidance. The changes are to update the accepted courses listed within the Annex.

The changes are summarised below:

  • Update to the authorisation bodies applicable to Scheme Operators;
  • Removal of sub-heading “All Technologies” and the relevant course;
  • Amendment to the courses listed under “Heat Technologies General – Energy Efficiency”;
  • Addition of courses listed under “Biomass”;
  • Addition of courses listed under “Heat Pumps”;
  • Amendment to the courses listed under “Metering”;
  • Amendment to the courses listed under “Solar Thermal”; and
  • Minor updates to the courses listed under “Solar PV”.
